Book Review: Kingdom Family Devotional

The Kingdom Family Devotional is a book written by Dr. Tony Evans and his son Jonathan.  It is geared towards the whole family, and personally it has challenged me to be a better husband and father.  The devotional covers a variety of different topics ranging from Love, respect, and forgiveness.  Each week covers a different topic and no topic is repeated.

The book is a hardcover with strong binding, and is durable to be used on a daily basis for a long period of time.  The devotions themselves are fairly short.  Each devotion has a scripture reference at the top of the page, and is followed by a one page devotional.  The devotions are concise yet challenging.

It must be empathized that this devotional is not meant to be read by one person of the family, but by the whole family.  The language is simple enough to be understood by children, but challenging enough assist in deepening the faith of the mature Christian.  It is a welcome addition to my library, and one that will be used for years to come.
