Everlasting love

“but God shows His love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”-Romans 5:8

At the beginning of Romans chapter five Paul writes of a couple scenarios in which a person may give his life for another.  He goes on to say that if a person is righteous, someone would not even think of dying for them.  For a good man some may be tempted to , but most will not.  Christ threw conventional wisdom of the time out of the window, and died for us sinners.

Christ died for us while we were still in our trespasses and sins (Ephesians 2:1).  This arose out of God’s love for us, and not by anything we had done.  As Christians we must always remember this great gift that was given to us from the heart of the Lord Himself.  Through Christ we are justified by God and now seen as righteous.  We are indeed loved with a love that goes beyond all comprehension.  It is a love that the world  desperately needs to hear.  Share it!  Remember that you are loved.  Christ willingly went to the cross to prove it.
