“For I have derived much joy and comfort from your love, my brother, because the hearts of the saints have been refreshed through you.”-Philemon verse 7
The book of Philemon is often overlooked, and that is unfortunate. The book is roughly 225 words, but is filled with so much wisdom. In today’s verse Paul writes from prison and tells Philemon that the saints have been refreshed through him. Paul also says that he has derived joy from him as well. What a compliment from the great Apostle!
Wouldn’t it be great if fellow believers, or anyone, thought this way about us? How do others look at us? Are we seen as a source of encouragement, or do we gossip, bicker, and complain? Resolve today to be an encourager and allow the light of Christ to radiate from us to refresh those around us.
