Do the right thing

“And whatever you do or say let it be as a representative of the Lord Jesus, all the while giving thanks through him to God the Father.”-Colossians 3:17

Have you ever been in a situation where you thought no good could come? Think back on that situation. How did you react? To be frustrated and upset are normal human emotions, but they can be taken too far. Did you curse someone or ask why God was doing this? As believers we are called to a higher standard of conduct. We must remember that we are witness to the cross of Christ in every situation. In his epistle, James says that the testing of our faith produces endurance.

We are not exempt from hard times just because we are Christians, but we have the assurance that we have someone who will help us get through them. As the old saying goes, “Tough times don’t last, but tough people do.” So give thanks to Christ and remember we are witnesses at all times. Someone may be going through that tough time with us, and the way we react may be what they need to kneel at the foot of the cross.
